American (or Canadian) Classroom Experience in China Program (ACEC)

The program provides an exciting professional development opportunity for American and Canadian educators to increase their understanding of Chinese education and to share their teaching practices with their Chinese brethren.

Every summer and winter, we invite American teachers to China to promote American culture and education as a volunteer action. This year we are welcoming Canadian teachers to take part in this amazingexperience as well. As educators you will go to different cities and schools to provide to Chinese K12 students the opportunity to practice and develop English skills at various summer or winter camps in China.

Classes are taught in a western style classroom setting with high energy, lots of interaction and fun activities. Language and culture sessions are highly academic which require English speaking interactions by all students. Activity sessions focus on creative arts, such as: famous American holiday celebrations, physical activity development skills, talent in team work, artistic expression and physical fitness. Educators will gather in Beijing for a short orientation before continuing to the camp at their destined locations.
